Louisville 3, Toledo 2 (AAA)
—Victor Santos lowered his AAA ERA to 1.42 with a stellar start, going 4.2 IP, giving up one earned run, 3 Ks and one BB. Jon Coutlangus (who should be in the majors now), Todd Coffey (AAA ERA: 1.62), and Ricky Stone (AAA ERA: 1.83) combined to shut out the Mud Hens the rest of the way. Coutlangus struck out 4 in 2.1 innings to pick up the win.
–20 year old super-prospect Jay Bruce played CF and went 2-4 with two doubles and an RBI. This kid just continues to hit. He’s now at .309/.361/.566 at AAA. He will be starting in Cincinnati before 2008 is over.
Tennessee 7, Chattanooga 3 (AA)
–23 y/o LF Michael Griffin went 2-4, the only Lookout with more than one hit. Griffin is at .301/.336/.456.
Sarasota (A+): Monday night’s Florida State League game between Sarasota and Tampa was suspended due to rain at Legends Field.
–23 y/o 1B and Redleg Nation Spotlight Player Logan Parker went 3-5 with 2 RBI.
–22 y/o SS Zach Cozart, a 2007 draftee out of Ole Miss, went 3-4 on the night. For the year, Cozart is batting a paltry .220/.269/.296.
–22 y/o 2B Justin Turner went 3-5 with two runs scored. He’s now at .305/.370/.443. I still think this kid has a chance to be a good ballplayer.
–20 y/o 3B — and Redleg Nation favorite — Juan Francisco went 2-5.
Billings 4, Helena 2 (Rookie)
–21 y/o 3B Brandon Waring can flat-out hit. Last night, he went 2-4 with two solo homers. That makes 16 big flies in just 62 games. Waring has hit two homers in each of the last two games, and in three of his last 9 games.
Can you spell “stud”?

–This game was a waste of time.
