Aaron Herr was 3 for 4 with his 18th HR and Joey Votto swatted his 22nd HR.

Phil Dumatrait tossed 6.1 IP allowing just 5 H, a BB, but also allowed 3 R and took the loss. He also had 6 K and was 2 for 2 at the plate. Todd Coffey threw 1.2 scoreless innings allowing just one hit.

Chattanooga 6 – Tennessee 5

Daniel Dorn was 2 for 2 with 2 BB and a HR. Shaun Cumberland and Enrique Cruz went 2 for 5. Cruz had 2 2B.

James Avery got the win and threw 6 IP giving up 3 R, 7 H, a BB, while recording 6 K. Carlos Guevara tossed 1.1 IP of relief allowing 3 H for the save.

High A

Tampa 8 – Sarasota 0 (Suspended after 4 Innings, to be completed 8/26)

Tonys Gutierrez was 2 for 2 for the Reds only hits through 4 innings.

In his first rehab start Homer Bailey was pounded for 6 R, on 8 H and 2 BB. He struck out 4.

Low A

West Michigan 5 – Dayton 4

Redleg Nation Spotlight player Logan Parker was 2 for 4 with a 2B.

Travis Webb got no decision after tossing 5 IP allowing one unearned run on 2 H and 4 BB. He added 8 K. Phil Valiquette allowed 3 R on 3 H and a BB over 2 IP in relief for the loss.

Billings 11 – Missoula 2

Kevyn Feiner was 3 for 4. Justin Reed, Brandon Menchaca, Brandon Waring, and Kyle Maunus all added 2 H. Waring and Michael McKennon homered.

Luis Montano got the win to go to 8-3 on the season. He threw 6 IP giving up 6 H, 2 R, 2 BB, while getting 5 K. Jeremy Horst and Adam Pointer tossed 2 and 1 IP respectively of scoreless relief.

GCL Twins 9 – GCL Reds 5

Jose Gualdron hit a three run HR. Tony Brown added a solo HR.

Kyle Lotzkar started and pitched well going 4 IP giving up 1 unearned run on 5 H, and no BB adding 6 K. Jose Medina and Josh Beal managed to record one out while giving up 6 runs in relief. Medina who recorded the out and gave up 2 of the six runs actually got a hold for his efforts.
