23 year-old, shortstop Pedro Lopez went 2 for 4 with an RBI. Lopez hit .242/.307/.323 at Charlotte in the international league and his first two games as a bat he is hitting .500/.600/.500. I couldn’t find how the Reds acquired him, can anybody get me up to speed?

Re: Pedro Lopez, I think the White Sox put him on waivers and the Reds claimed him.
Yes, confirmed.
ÂÂ
23 year-old, first baseman, Joey Votto (Reds #2 – 2002), went 3 for 5 with 2 RBI. He is hitting .319/.426/.503. Votto is getting on track, and it would seem he will be a Red either this year or next. His plate discipline is awesome, even when he was slumping his walk rate was great. I don’t expect him to put up .900 OPS in the majors, but I think he will be a solid contributor for a long time.ÂÂ
