Louisville DNP
25 year-old Richie Gardner (Reds #6 – 2003) through 4.2 innings giving up 6 H, 0 BB, 2 R (0 ER) while striking out 9. This was his first start at Chattanooga after just one at Louisville.
24 year-old Adam Rosales (Reds #12 – 2005) went 2 for 4 with a 2B, 3B, a 2 R.  Rosales is doing very well with an OPS over .900, but if he doesn’t move up very soon, his odds of becoming a long time major leaguer are in jeopardy. The Reds stubborness in promoting College players is frustrating. A 24 year-old future star is tearing it up at AA or AAA, not A+. Hopefully the injury to his arm is the only reason he is down, but I would think he should be learning off of older pitchers. If anybody runs into a Reds minor league exec please ask him about Rosales.
20 year-old Travis Wood (Reds #2 – 2005) tossed 5 nearly perfect innings, giving up just 2 H, 0 BB, 0 ER with 9 Ks. He lowered his to 4.41 with 21 Ks, 16 H, 8 BB in 16.1 IP.
22 year-old, outfielder, Danny Dorn (Reds #32 – 2006), went 2 for 2 with 2B, R, and 2 BB. He is hitting .259/.339/.428 for the season. In May Dorn is hitting .329/.404/.573
21 year-old Chris Valaika (Reds #3 – 2006), playing DH, went 2 for 5 with a 2B, HR and 4 RBI. He is hitting .327/.376/.521
