21 year-old Homer Bailey (Reds #1 – 2004) pitched 5.2 Innings giving up just a H and 2 BB, while striking out 7. He now has a 1.99 ERA with 34 Ks, 27 H, and 21 BB in 45.1 IP. I LOVE prospects. To me their progression is the only exciting thing left in this Reds organization. That said, I want Homer to cut down on the BB. He clearly is a superstar waiting to happen, 27 H in 45 IP is pretty damn impressive for a 21 year old at AAA. But his BB are a concern.ÂÂ
23 year-old, first baseman, Joey Votto (Reds #2 – 2002) went 2 for 4 with a BB. He hitting  .299/.415/.474.  ÂÂ
Chattanooga DNP ÂÂ
yawn, 20 year-old, right fielder Jay Bruce (Reds #1 – 2005) went 2 for 3 with a 2B, BB, R, and an RBI. He is now hitting .350/.404/.644
The new DOTF favorite 22 year-old, left fielder, Carson Kainer (Reds #14 – 2006) went 2 for 4 with a R and an RBI. Kainer made the jump from College to Sarasota why can’t some of the other college stars?ÂÂ
21 year-old Sean Watson (Reds #2 – 2006) pitched 5.1 innings giving up 6 H, 2 BB, and an ER, while striking out 8. He has a 2.05 ERA with 64 Ks, 43 H, and 7 BB in 48 IP.ÂÂ
22 year-old, center fielder, Chris Heisey (Reds #17 – 2006) 2 for 3 with 2 2B. He is hitting .284/.329/.448
