Over in the left column, you may have noticed a new section called Redleg Nation Spotlight Players. You have probably seen us mention our Spotlight Players a few times over the last couple of months, but we haven’t really described what we have in store.

Thanks to the efforts of RN contributor Bill, two Reds minor leaguers have agreed to participate here at Redleg Nation. Chattanooga (AA) pitcher Bo Lanier and Dayton (A) 1B Logan Parker, a couple of great guys, will be keeping us updated on life in the minors and their road to the majors.

Each started with a very in-depth interview with RN (Lanier, Parker), and they are continuing to keep us in the loop. During the season, we will be tracking their statistics in the Spotlight Player sidebar section over there. For all past updates, and all future updates from these guys, check out each player’s Spotlight Player Page. Here is Bo Lanier’s page and here is Logan Parker’s. Bookmark them and check back often.

I think you will agree that these are two very fine young men, and we’re very appreciative that they are taking the time to provide you guys and gals a glimpse inside the Reds organization that we usually can’t see. We want nothing more than to see these guys make the majors, and it should be fun following them on that path.

If you have any questions for our Spotlight Players, don’t hesitate to send them to me or Bill. In the meantime, stay tuned. It’s going to be a fun season here at Redleg Nation.
