If Homer Bailey is sent to AAA, I wouldn’t mind seeing Paul Wilson earn the 5th spot in the rotation. During his time with the Reds, Wilson has basically been a league-average pitcher (or slightly below). And he’s a good guy.
That said, I don’t expect him to win that spot, and I don’t expect that he’s the most talented pitcher that is competing. I still think Kirk Saarloos has the early edge, and rightly so.
