20 year-old Jamie Arneson (Reds #16 – 2006) pitched 5 innings giving up 1 H, and 1 BB while striking out 3.  On the season he has a 1.74 ERA with 20 Ks, 14 BB, 11 H in 21 IP.

21 year-old Denis Phipps went 2 for 4 with a 2B, HR, and 3 RBI.  He is now hitting .262/.314/.355.

20 year-old Johnny Cueto flashed some of the brilliance he displayed at Dayton earlier in the year.  Cueto, the undrafted Dominican pitched 6 innings giving up 0 R, 4 H, and 2 BB.  Since being promoted he has a 5.50 ERA with 38 K, 20 BB, and 35 H in 37.2 IP.  HIs K/BB ratio at Dayton this year was 82/15 at Sarasota its an atrocios 38/20…..very strange.

25 year-old blast from the past Anderson Machado went 2 for 4 with a 2B, HR, and 2 RBI.   This season he is hitting .248/.341/.373

Louisville 6, Indianapolis 4

25 year-old Phil Dumatrait (Reds Sox #1 – 2000) pitched an UGLY 5.1 innings of baseball.   Although he only allowed 2 ER, he gave up 8 H and 4 BB while striking out 3.  Since being promoted he has a 3.86 ERA with 46 K, 22 BB and a Hefty 81 H in 70 IP.  Those peripherals point to a future Milton like ERA in the bigs.
