19 year old Travis Wood (Reds #2 – ’05) recovered from his terrible last start to throw 7innings of 7 hit, 3 run (2 earned) baseball, striking out 8. Rojas (1 IP 1 H), Lanier (2 IP 3 H) (Reds #10 – ’05), and Ondrusek (3 IP 1 H) (Reds #13 – ’05) held the Kernals scoreless until the 15th.
Offensively, the Dragons didn’t have anyone collect more than one hit, 6 on the night over the 15 innings. Jay Bruce (Reds #1 – ’05) was 0-3 with 3 walks to halt his hitting streak.
