Rochester 1, Louisville 2

Gosling, Belisle, Shearn, and Chiasson combined to allow 1 run on just 4 total hits. Matt Belisle pitched 1 innings, allowed 1 hit and struck out 1.

Chris Denorfia supplied the offense for the Bats by going 3-4 with 2 runs batted in. Chris also stole his 11th and 12th bases of the season.

AA

Chattanooga 4, Huntsville 3

Josh Hall improved to 3-1 on the year by giving up 2 runs on 10 hits while striking out 6. Hall went 6 innings and lowered his ERA to 4.08.

Anderson Machado’s big bat led the club offensively. Machado went 3-3 with a single, double, and homerun. He also scored a run and drove in 2.

High A

Tampa 4, Sarasota 5

Sam Lecure struck out 6 batters over 6 innings but got a no decision. Lecure gave up 1 run on 5 hits while not walking a batter. Jan Granado picked up his second win of the season by pitching a scoreless 9th inning.

Paul Janish went 2-4 with a single and belted his 3rd homerun in Sarasota on the season. Janish had 2 runs batted in. Trevor Lawhorn also went 2-4 and added an rbi.

Low A

South Bend 9, Dayton 0

This game was ugly. South Bend scored 6 in the first and that was pretty much the game. South Bend outscored the Dragons 9-0 and outhit Dayton 16-4. Jay Bruce went 1-3 with a double for the Dragons.

Robert Manuel had the line of the game by going 0.2 innings, allowing 6 runs on 6 hits while striking out 1.

Rookie

Helena 1, Billings 9

Angel Colon went 3-4 for the Mustangs with 3 singles and 3 runs batted in. Jason Louwsma added 2 hits, 2 runs, and 2 rbis. Logan Parker went 1-2 with a run scored and 3 walks. Parker has had an awesome 5 game start where he is batting .625/.727/.875.

Anthony Gressick picked up his first win of the season by going 5 innings, allowing just 3 hits while striking out 3.

GCL Reds 4, GCL Pirates 5

Michael Jones went 1-3 with a double, run, and an rbi. He was the only Red to have an extra base hit.

Starter Brandon Rice was roughed up in his first outting of the season. Rice gave up 6 hits and 3 runs in 1.2 innings pitched. He walked no one and failed to record a strike out.
