Alex Sanchez, Andy Abad, and Jesse Gutierrez each had two hits as the Bats edged out Louisville for the win. All 3 scored 1 of the runs for Louisville.
Tom Shearn made his 5th start of the season, allowing 2 runs on 5 hits and 2 walks. He struck out 2 in 6 innings pitched. Ryan Wagner got his first win of the season by coming in in relief in the 7th inning. Wagner pitched a perfect 7th and struck out 1. His ERA is gradually dropping. He’s now at 6.26 on the season.

It was a very slow night for the Lookout offense as they only mustered 5 hits. Chris Dickerson had the best night, going 2-3 with his 14th double and scored the only run.
Steven Kelly dropped to 7-4 with the loss. Kelly gave up 5 runs (4 earned) on 7 hits and 1 walk. He also struck out 3 over 6 innings pitched. Carlos Alvarado pitched 2 great innings in relief. Alvarado went 2, surrendering 1 hit while striking out 3.
High A
Another Reds minor league team that only scattered 5 hits. Paul Janish had 3 of those 5 by going 3-4 on the night. Paul scattered 3 singles for the Reds and scored the only run.
Homer Bailey got the start and turned in another solid performance. Bailey went 7 innings, allowing 1 run on 3 hits while striking out 8. He got a no decision. His ERA is now 3.31. Zac Stott served up a solo homerun in the 8th to get the loss for the Reds.
Low A
The last place Dragons woke up the bats last night to pound the Lugnuts. Michael DeJesus went 4-5 with 2 runs scored and 3 rbis on the night. Jay Bruce went 3-5, adding 2 rbis to his total. He now has 45 on the season. 3b Jarrett Reininger went 2-4 with 2 runs scored, a double, and 2 runs batted in. Finally, Christoper Denove added 2 more hits in a 2-5 effort. After it was all said and done, the Dragons had 15 base hits, 12 singles and 3 doubles.
Redleg Nation minor league pitcher of the month Johnny Cueto was the recipient of the offense by getting the win. Cueto is now 6-1 as he went 5 innings, allowing 1 run on 6 hits. Cueto also walked 2 and struck out 7. His ERA is now an even 3.00.
