25 year-old Rick Asadoorian, who replaced Noochie Varner after he was ejected in the 3rd inning, went 3 for 3 with a 3B, R, and an RBI. For the season Asadoorian, the 1st round pick of the Red Sox in 1999, is hitting .277/.296/.372.ÂÂ
High A
21 year-old Brandon Roberts, who was just named to the FSL All*Star Team, went 3 for 4 with a solo Homerun. Roberts, who stole 32 bases in 39 attempst last year at Billings, is now hitting .291/.339/.336 with 22 SB in 26 attempts.
LOW A

19 year-old Jay Bruce went 3 for 4 with 2 2B, BB, R, and 3 RBI. For the season, the 1st round pick of the 2005 draft he is now hitting .269/.328/.542.ÂÂ
22 year-old Robert Manuel, the eventual “bucket of balls” we got for Sean Casey, pitched 4 solid innings giving up just 1 H and 1 BB while striking out 3. Manuel, who now has 3 appearances for the Dragons, has a .93 ERA with 6 K, 1 BB in 9.1 innings. The DOTF would be impressed if this almost 23 year old were doing this at AA.
