Here’s the Enquirer’s story on last night’s game, focusing on the big slugger that led the way last night.  Says John Fay:

Bronson Arroyo finally is back.

Not Arroyo the pitcher; he has been there all along.

Arroyo the hitter was back Saturday night and was a large reason why the Reds beat the Houston Astros 7-5 at Minute Maid Park.

Arroyo went 3-for-3 with four RBI.

He hit home runs in each of his first two at-bats this season, then went 0-for-27 – the longest hitless streak for a Red this year.

“A lucky day,” Arroyo said. “I’m always surprised when I get a hit. Three hits, four RBI – that’s a career day for me.”

Arroyo (7-2, 2.40 ERA) also pitched pretty well Saturday: six innings, two unearned runs.

The Reds have now won three straight, the first time they’ve done that since…April 29.  Can we just forget the month of May, please?
