Ray Olmedo went 2-3 with 2 walks and a run scored to help lead the Bats to a 3-0, shutout victory. Ray O is now batting .330/.378/.394 on the season with Louisville.

Joe Mays had another nice start for the Bats. Mays went 7.2 innings, allowing 7 hits, 1 walk, while striking out 4. He now has a 3.20 ERA.

Montgomery 1, Chattanooga 5

Joey Votto went 2-3, belting his 9th homerun of the season and driving in rbis 26 and 27. Anderson Machado also went 2-3 and hit his 2nd homerun of the season and drove in 3 rbis to give him 12 on the season.

Josh Hall struggled with his control but improved his record to 2-0 with the Lookouts. Hall went 5.1 innings, gave up 3 hits, walked 4, struck out 7, while allowing 1 run.

High A

Jupiter 3, Sarasota 4 – final 10

The Reds scored 1 in the 9th to tie it and another in the 10th to come away with the 1-run victory. Cody Strait hit his 7th homerun of the season in the 9th to tie the game at 3. The homerun is one of the few bright spots for Strait this year as he’s hitting just .216/.286/.407 in 194 at bats.

Camilo Vazquez pitched well in the start but got a no decision. Vazquez threw 7 innings, gave up 3 runs (2 earned) on 6 hits, 3 walks, while striking out 6. Vazquez’s era is now 2.93.

Low A

Beloit 3, Dayton 2

Eric Eymann went 3-5 on the night with 2 doubles, a triple, and a run scored. The night helped raise Eric’s numbers to .244/.328/.409 on the year in 164 at bats. Michael DeJesus went 1-4 on the night, hitting his 2nd homerun of the year in the losing effort.

Carlos Fisher pitched well enough to earn a victory, but instead recorded a no-decision. Fisher went 6 innings, giving up 2 runs on 3 hits and 3 walks. Fisher struck out 4.
