From the DDN:

Most of the article is about how Chris Denove and Eric Eymann had a “major league” day with the Reds on Monday in Cooperstown, but my favorite part was:

But that night, we flew to Pittsburgh with the team, and Adam Dunn, Austin Kearns, Scott Hatteberg and Quinton McCracken took us to dinner along with Brandon Roberts and Abe Woody (players from the Reds’ high Class A Sarasota, Fla., team).”

Eymann said Dunn picked up the check, which “was a hefty one.”

Of course, with Dunn’s new contract, he can afford it.

Hefty? Where could they have one in Cooperstown? Applebee’s?

I wonder if Kearns, Dunn, and Hatteberg thought McSucken was one of the minor leaguers. “So, Phil . . . oh, what’s that? . . . Quentin? Oh, well, how long have you been in the minors, little fella?”
