From CincinnatiReds.com:

The Reds today reinstated from the 15-day disabled list CF Ken Griffey Jr. and optioned to Louisville OF Chris Denorfia.
Griffey had been on the disabled list since April 17, retroactive to April 13, with a strained right biceps tendon in his right knee. He suffered the injury on April 12 at Wrigley Field.

Before his injury Griffey hit .258 with 2 doubles, 2 HR and 7 RBI in 8 games.

In 7 games for the Reds, Denorfia went 4-for-8 with 2 doubles and 3 runs scored in 7 appearances, including 1 start.

Why Denorfia down, instead of McCracken?

I thought the same thing, but watching Freel in CF is almost the same as watching Dunn in LF, except Freel is fast. No idea how to fix CF defensively, but the answer is neither Griffey nor Freel.
But Griffey in LF and Dunn at 1B is definitely better than Dunn in LF and Griffey at 1B.

Does any body know what the weather forecast is in Cincinnati for tonight. In Chicago it has poured down rain all day today.

    Cold, wet and miserable.

I’ve looked and it appears to be bad in Cincinnati too.

I just would like to see them get this game in tonight.

Sorry for the quote-and-respond format, but here goes . . .

    McCracken doesn’t have options.

Yeah, but the Reds do: CUT HIM

It’s a shame that Dunn doesn’t cover LF any better than he does with the cannon of an arm.

Have you tried covering left field while rolling a cannon aroudn with you? I’d say he’s doing a pretty good job, considering.

Funny, I live in Chicago and did the same thing. What a crappy day here. But the radar in motion for Cincy doesn’t look quite as bad as the one for Chicago.
