While I was heading to lunch, I clicked on Jeff Piecoro’s show on 1360Homer and he had Greg Rhodes on with him discussing the Reds HOF and Museum.
I didn’t catch the entire conversation, but did hear that they’re going to be opening a new exhibit on the “1919 World Series”. Among the items on display will be Edd Roush’s World Series diamond stickpin (the WS ring of their time) and the “last out ball” which was hit by “Shoeless” Joe Jackson.
Edd Roush’s granddaughter has written a book, which she’ll be autographing at the museum this weekend.
If you’ve never had the opportunity to visit the HOF and Museum, it’s very well done and well worth the time.
I very good friend of mine works in Dayton and is a huge Reds fan. He knows Greg Rhodes well and has introduced me to him. Reds fans are very fortunate to have someone the caliber of Rhodes overseeing the establishment and dveleopment of the Reds HOF and Museum.
My wife and I toured the place last July for the first time and I could have spent the better part of a day there. I can’t wait to take my whole family back to see it. It is very well done.
Let’s hope we can keep beating up on Leatherpant’s boys tonight.
