I also somehow missed the fact that Prospectus offered a Reds notebook on Friday (subscription), mostly discussing Arroyo.
This was news to me (though it was hardly hidden information):
But lost in all of this is the fact that, when Krivsky made these remarks, Arroyo had exactly one start at Great American Ball Park. He’s since made one more. But he’s not succeeding despite GABP; he just hasn’t had to deal with it yet (the Reds, as a whole, have also faced below-average offense so farâ€â€that helps, too).
John Erhardt pointed out that in addition to Arroyo’s sure-to-rise .193 BABIP, he’s killing lefties this year.
