AAA

Louisville’s game last night against Charlotte was postponed.

AA

Tennessee 7, Chattanooga 5

Noochie Varner (great name) went 3-4 for the Lookouts with 2 runs scored and a double on the night. Rick Asadoorian went 2-4 with a run scored and 2 runs batted in.

Phil Dumatrait picked up the loss by going 4 innings, allowing 6 runs, 5 earned, 6 hits, 3 walks, and striking out 3.

High A

Dunedin 1, Sarasota 6

It was a good night for some of the Reds offensive players last night vs Dunedin. Brandon Roberts went 2-3 with 2 runs scored and his 14th stolen base of the season. Drew Anderson went 3-4 with a run scored and 3 runs batted in. He was a homerun short of the cycle on the night. Anderson is now hitting .330/.408/.615 with a 1.023 OPS. Finally Cody Strait went 2-4 with a run scored. Strait had 2 rbi’s and hit his 6th homerun of the season last night.

Low A

Dayton 7, Clinton 11

The Dragons had a 7-0 lead after 4, but watched as Clinton came roaring back for the 11-7 win. Too bad the big league Reds couldn’t have done the same last night.

Paul Janish went 3-5 yesterday with a homerun (his 4th), a double, 2 runs scored, and 3 rbis. Jay Bruce also added a 3 hit night by going 3-4.

Russell Haltiwanger got the loss in relief for the Dragons. Haltiwanger pitched 1.1 innings, surrendering 5 runs on 5 hits while striking out 2.

Phil has been a lot better with his walks than last year.

I still cant believe the bullpen in the Dragons game though, that was real real real real real bad.

Why are Janish and Rosales still in Dayton and Sarasota as 23-year olds while Anderson Machado is in Chattanooga?
