A couple of days ago, we announced the Redleg Nation Minor League Players of the Month. Today, we announce the major league Player of the Month for April.

There was really only one choice: Bronson Arroyo. Arroyo, in his first month as a Red, went 4-0 with a 2.34 ERA. He finished the month with back to back 8-inning gems…and he is already making his claim for May POTM with a complete game victory against the defending division champs in his first start.

Perhaps most importantly, Arroyo brought a new attitude to the team. He immediately brought respectability to the rotation, and he was a big reason why the Reds finished April with the best record in MLB.
