From a sidebar in the Enquirer:

Reds RHP David Weathers has suffered a torn extensor tendon in his right index finger and is expected to be in a splint for 3 weeks.

Weathers will be re-evaluated at that time but is expected to be ready when spring training camp workouts for pitchers and catchers begin on February 18.

Weathers suffered the injury Monday working out at his home.

That sounds like a similar injury that Adam Eaton had last year and he missed nearly half the season. Sounds like 2006 is headed in the right direction already.
