Hopefully, it was just a scare, and nothing more. According to Marc Lancaster, Junior is alright after tweaking his foot in the twelfth inning of today’s game:
He walked without a noticeable limp from the shower to his locker and stood there to talk to us for a while. He won’t play tomorrow against Milwaukee, but he was due for a day off anyway after starting 25 games in a row.
“We’ll see how it feels tomorrow and go from there,” he said.
I’ve been wrong before, but I don’t think this injury is going to keep him out for any extended period of time.
