Thanks to Jim, not sure how I missed this one. Rick Asadoorian is a refugee of the Texas Rangers and just got called up to Louisville. Rick was a 1st round pick of Boston in 1999.The 25 year-old Rick Asadoorian went 3 for 4 with 2 R, 3 RBI, 3B, and a HR. He is now hitting .353/.353/.706 he has a 2B, a 3B, and a HR, no BB in 17 PAs at AAA.
He has never hit worth a damn anywhere, so I will hold judgement on him. Let’s hope he doesn’t turn into a pumpkin anytime soon.
Three if the Reds top pitching prospects are on the mound tonight. Homer Bailey gets the start for Dayton, Travis Chick will toe the rubber for Chattanooga, and Justin Germano will be the RiverBats hurler.
I gotta tell ya, this “Down on the Farm” feature is one of the best things we’ve had here at Redleg Nation.
Kudos to Matt…this is a great way for our readers to be able to keep up with what’s going on in the minors.
