If you are watching the game, turn it on and check out Aaron Harang’s uniform. “Cincinnati” is misspelled on the front of his jersey. It says: “CNCINNATI.”

Funny.

Well, the announcers just noticed it, so check it out soon. They may show it again.

UPDATE: Goodness, these umpires are terrible tonight. They’ve missed three easy calls in less than four innings. Two of the three calls have gone against the Reds, including one where Felipe Lopez was supposedly picked off, but it was clear that he was safe from the replay.

That’s going to hurt Lopez’s standing, unfortunately. He got the start tonight, and laced a solid single to centerfield, only to get picked off first thanks to a bad call by the umpire. I just have a feeling that Dave “Lover of Veterans” Miley won’t have much patience with the young guy.

Aurilia will be back in the lineup soon, I fear.

UPDATE 2: Three hits for Felipe Lopez. He’s batting .400 on the young season (hey, that’s almost higher than Rich Aurilia’s OPS!).

Free Felipe Lopez!!! Give him the everyday starting job, Dave Miley!

UPDATE 3: Another day, another loss. That’s four losses in a row, and just like that, the excitement generated by the opening series against the Mets has dissipated entirely. Sigh….

Afternoon game tomorrow.

Chad: When you got the Cardinals -130 (-1 1/2 runs) the umps have to give them some help.
