Marc Lancaster has a piece on Redleg Nation favorite Big Rob Stratton here:

Stratton is in the mix for the 25th spot on the roster, which seems destined to be mostly a pinch-hitting role. With a week of game action, including the two Reds’ two intrasquad games, in the books, Stratton has had plenty of chances to show his stuff at the plate and in the outfield.

“This is my first big-league spring training where I’ve really been given this type of opportunity, and I’m thankful for that,” he said.

Stratton will take all the exposure he can get as he tries to make it to the big leagues for the first time after spending at least part of the last four seasons in Class AAA for five different organizations.

I don’t see Stratton making the big league club, but I’d love for him to make the team. It’d be nice having a bat like that on the bench.

UPDATE: Stratton has another dinger today.
